Evening Rain Storm

In the summer months I like to chase thunderstorms hoping for dramatic lightning strike images. This day in the park wasn't looking promising. The skies were a plain undramatic grey and any lighting was hidden in the clouds. It was looking like it might clear up for sunset and so I started to set up my camera for a time-lapse video of the sunset. Just as I finished setting up the tripod I noticed a storm quickly building and moving in from the south. I abandoned the sunset idea and headed to a small cave for cover so that I could shoot a time-lapse of the storm coming in. It started raining before I could get set up, but I was still in time for some big downpours. This time-lapse spans the period of about two hours and finishes after the sun sets. A moment in time when the sky spoke, and the desert listened. Enjoy.
